Parents and guardians of students studying at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidhyashram School, Munshi Marg, were left with no choice but to organise a demonstration again outside the school premises against the fee hike on Monday. The only concession given to the parents is a delay in the last date of fee submission, which has been extended to April 25, 2018.“They claim to be going by the rules implemented by the state government and have increased the prices to execute the recommendations by the pay commission. However, they have been increasing the fee from last five years, which has now been increased by 225 per cent,” a parent explained.Parents further informed that a meeting with school director (Jaipur), Group Captain(Retd.) BC Kumawat, has led to a verbal assurance that the fee will not be increased for the next two years.“The director informed that a report has been submitted to the state government, based on a notice received by the school. If the decision will be to reduce the fee, the difference amount will be refunded. However, for now, the fees has to be deposited,” the parent informed.Parents then visited Shiksha Sankul to join the ongoing demonstration by Jaipur Congress president, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas. A letter has been written to the district education officer stating the complaints regarding fee hike and non-implementation of NCERT books. Six days back also Several parents demonstrated outside St Anselm’s North City School, Niwaru Road, on Wednesday. Parents gathered outside the main school building to show their anger towards alleged fee hike.
