For the first time, the Uttar Pradesh Board will declare its High School and Intermediate examinations results on April 29.The UP Board Secretary Neena Srivastava told media that the evaluation of copies work for the papers of the two examinations was almost completed and tabulation is near completion. The results would be declared on April 29, she announced. It was for the first time that the results, which usually are declared in May, are being declared in April.“We will be uploading the results soon, including the names of the toppers. It can be seen on UP Board Portal online from April 29 (www.upresults.nic.in),” said Dr Dinesh Sharma, the State Education Minister.To encourage the Board toppers, the Yogi Aditayanth had announced to name the roads in the name of the toppers in their villages and areas. The State government has also decided to introduce NCERT books and its syllabus from the current academic session in UP Board.Over 66 lakh students had taken examinations for the High School and Intermediate examinations between From February 6 and March 10. The evaluation of copies work was started from March 17 and completed in record time of less than a month.Over 11 lakh students had either opted out or had left the two exams midway following several strict measures taken by the Yogi Adityanath government to check mass copying. For the first time, only centres having installed CCTV cameras were allowed to conduct the exam. Besides flying squads, the Special Task Force and state and local intelligence sleuths were deployed to check copying.
