NEET-PG entrance examinations will be held in August after they were postponed last month as a precautionary measure, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) announced on Friday.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Post Graduate will commence on August 11 and will be held in two shifts.

The notification further asked aspirants to log on to natboard.edu.in for more information on the conduction of exams in two shifts.

Meanwhile, the cut-off date for completion of internship towards eligibility for NEET-PG 2024 is August 15.

The cancellation of NEET-PG caused a furor among lakhs of applicants. The NEET-UG exams have been marred by controversy with students accusing of malpractices including paper leaks.

While NEET-UG exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency, the NBE has been conducting NEET-PG for seven years and since then there have been no reports of paper leaks or mismanagement.

The results of the
NEET-UG re-test
were announced last month and the topper tally came down to 61 from 67.

As many as 60 per cent of the 813 students who appeared for the re-examination, however, have improved their scores sans grace marks. Most of these students got a score of above 680. None of these students were able to match their scores to what they had achieved with grace marks.

The NEET-UG examination, originally held on May 5 at 4,750 centres, saw approximately 24 lakh candidates. The results, which were initially expected on June 14, were announced on June 4 due to early completion of answer sheet evaluations.
