The search-and-rescue operations in the Wayanad landslide have entered Day 4 and authorities continue to brave the rain and the challenging terrain to hunt for around 300 people, who are still missing.
On Friday, the death toll in the disaster also rose to 195, announced Wayanad District Collector Meghashree D R.
As operations continue on a war-footing, the Indian Army dog squad, comprising of Belgian Malinois breed have been roped in to help. Here’s a closer look at the Belgian Malinois and the reason they are being used in Wayanad.
