Targetting Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee in her backyard, BJP national president Amit Shah, during his two-day visit Bengal on June 27-28, will hold a meeting with the booth level workers of Kalighat area in Kolkata. He will start his journey in the area after giving puja in the famous Kalighat temple. Sources said that the party was targeting Mamata’s erstwhile South Kolkata constituency in the next 2019 Lok Sabha election. He will also take a low down on the preparedness of the party ahead of the election. Shah will chair an organisational meeting with party leadership on June 27 and is also likely to visit the residence of the two BJP workers killed in Purulia district.During his last visit to Bengal, he had stressed upon formation of 100 per cent booth committees across the state. He had instructed party leadership to ensure that at least 10 persons were there in each of the committees. Sources also said that Shah was likely to instruct party workers to go all out against Mamata and would lay down the roadmap and strategies of fighting against TMC.
