<!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>The investigation in the case wherein a 32-year-old e-rickshaw driver, Ravinder, was beaten to death near Delhi University (DU) was handed over to the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch on Tuesday, three days after the shocking incident took place. No arrests have been made in the case till now.A day earlier, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu had said that he had spoken to Delhi Police Commissioner to urge for a speedy and strict action against the suspects. A number of DU students are on the radar for their suspected involvement in the public killing. Naidu also met the pregnant widow of Ravinder, who was beaten to death by 15-20 men when he objected to two of them urinating in public.Meanwhile, the police said a CCTV footage procured from a nearby liquor shop shows two of the accused buying liquor, and that efforts are on to identify and nab the assailants at the earliest.
