Police today said the accused Arvind, resident of Datauli village in Sonepat district, was arrested on Monday. Panipat SP Rahul Sharma said that the accused has been taken on police remand and further investigation was on to find the source of the money. “We had received a complaint against Arvind after a person hailing from Panipat accused him of duping Rs 61 lakh. We conducted a raid and recovered the money worth Rs one crore in demonetised currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000,” Sharma said.
