On Thursday, the shocked mother of the victim seen in a viral video who was killed said she had spoken to her son the day of his murder and didn’t know why he was burnt to death in Rajasthan’s Rajashmand.She was quoted saying by ANI: “I spoke to my son in the morning before he was killed. I don’t know the reason behind his murder. His wife Gul Bahar Bibi told Indian Express: “We want those who killed my husband so brutally and showed it to the world be hanged. I want Insaaf (justice).He was only killed because he was a Muslim. Yesterday, at around 3 pm, we received a call from Rajasthan Police and were told that my husband has been murdered.”His daughter also said they spoke to him on Tuesday saying they butchered her father ‘like animals’.She said: “We even spoke to him on Tuesday. He calls us everyday. We do not know what love jihad is. He has grandchildren. They butchered my father like animals before setting him on fire. I want those who did that to suffer in the same manner. I have seen the video and the cries of my helpless father while he was being killed.”In the video, Raigar can be seen saying, “Jihadis should leave the country, or else they will meet the same fate.” Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria on Thursday termed the video of a man being burnt alive over alleged love-jihad case in Rajsamand as gut wrenching and assured stringent action against the perpetrator. The home minister told ANI: ‘The video is gut-wrenching. Strict action will be taken against him (the perpetrator) once caught.””Despite knowing the consequences, he made the video viral,” said Kataria. The incident came to light after the perpetrator of the crime allegedly filmed the incident on Dev heritage road in Rajnagar area of Rajsamand and uploaded it on social media yesterday.
