In ten minutes of confusion, reports that the BS Yeddyurappa-led BJP would be forming the next Karnataka government sent shockwaves as the saffron party has only bagged 104 seats in the recently concluded Assembly elections. The Karnataka unit of the BJP even confirmed the news on Twitter, but deleted the tweet minutes after putting it up.Earlier reports that Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala had invited the BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa to form the government and prove his majority ahead of the JD(S)-Congress combine. Yeddyurappa will take oath on Thursday at 9.30 am did the rounds. However, there was still no official confirmation from either the Governor’s office or from Yeddyurappa’s office. Union ministers Prakash Javadekar and JP Nadda reached Yeddyurappa’s residence.
