The last rites for the Shankarayacharya of Kanchi, Jayendra Saraswathi, were conducted on Thursday, the temple trust said in a statement.The Hindu seer, who had a large following globally, died of a cardiac arrest on Wednesday. He was 82.More than 1 lakh people have taken his darshan since yesterday.
