The 17-year-old Pune boy, son of a renowned real-estate developer Vishal Agarwal, spent a whooping Rs 48,000 in just 90 minutes in one of the two pubs he visited on Saturday evening where he consumed alcohol with his friends before ramming his Porsche Taycan into a motorcycle, killing two young techies.

As per Pune Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, the accused in the Pune Porsche accident case, along with his friends, first visited Cosie, a restaurant-pub, at 10:40 pm on Saturday, where he spent Rs 48,000 on drinks.

“We have obtained a bill of Rs 48,000 from Cosie pub which was paid by the underage driver of Porsche involved in the accident on Sunday. The bill includes the cost of liquor served to the teenager and his friends at the pub,” a report by The Time of India quoted the Pune Police Commissioner as saying.

Minor & friends asked to leave Cosie pub

Pune’s Cosie pub stopped serving the boy and his friends, but it appeared that their party mode did not end. They then hopped into their cars and went to a second pub, Blak Mariott, where they reached at 12:10 am, the report said.

Ample CCTV footages of boy drinking alcohol

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Manoj Patil said the cops “have ample CCTV camera footage of the minor accused and his friends consuming alcohol in both the pubs before he drove his Porsche Taycan, while being under the influence.”

“The blood sample reports are still awaited,” Patil was quoted as saying by the daily.

A report by NDTV mentioned the Pune Police Commissioner saying that the accused driver in Pune Porsche accident case was taken for a medical test in the early hours of Sunday. His blood sample was taken and sent for a forensic report.

Boy’s father arrested from Aurangabad

Pune Police, on Tuesday, detained the minor accused’s
father from Aurangabad
. He was absconding soon after his son was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Sunday evening.

Three top executives from both the pubs have also been arrested for serving liquor to the minors.

On Saturday, the boy along with his 10-12 friends went out partying to celebrate his Class 12 results. They splurged on food and alcohol till around 3:15 am on Sunday, after which, the accused and two of his friends left Blak Mariott and sped away in their Porsche Taycan.

They then went on drive in a reckless manner and rammed a bike in which two young techies were returning home from a party.

The two techies — Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta (both 24-year-old and friends) — were from Madhya Pradesh and were working in Pune in an IT company. Their bike was hit by Porsche Taycan driven by the accused at Kalyani Nagar junction. Both of them died after the accident.

The accused teenager was subsequently produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) which granted him bail with 15 hours of police detention.
