A five-year-old boy was allegedly lured and abducted around 3 am from his home by a man in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur. He was then dragged to a secluded place by the man who along with another person gang-raped the minor.
The brutal crime took place on September 19. As per the complaint filed by the boy’s grandfather, while the two men raped the minor, two others, who were passing by, shot the act and allegedly uploaded the video on social media.
Police said the video of the act, purportedly of the survivor being violated by the perpetrators, was widely circulated on the internet.

The incident came to light on September 26, when the child’s health condition started deteriorating and he complained of unbearable pain. There were some injury marks on his body too.
The boy was then cajoled who later narrated the entire ordeal to his grandfather and other family members.
After this, the victim’s family went to the accused’s house and confronted about the crime. Over there, they were “abused and threatened” with dire consequences.
They even threatened to kill the boy’s family.
4 accused in Hapur boy’s gang-rape incident missing
The boy’s grandfather then filed a complaint at Babugarh police station. Following this, the child’s statement was recorded in which he testified that he was brutally violated, Hapur city’s circle officer Jitendra Sharma was quoted as saying by Times of India.
The accused have been identified as Arsh, Junaid, Mobin and Shamim (only first names available in FIR), Sharma said, adding that they are from the same locality.
As per the complaint, the child was lured and abducted from his home by Junaid on September 19 around 3 am and was taken to an isolated location.
Arsh and Junaid then allegedly gang-raped him in a nearby farm when the two goat herders, Rizwan and Alfez, who were also present on the farm, shot a video of the act and uploaded it on the internet, a report by India Today said.
“Others also joined him. Two other men, who were passing by, shot the act and later uploaded the clip on social media. On September 26, the child’s condition worsened and he was in unbearable pain. He then narrated his ordeal to me,” the victim’s father told in the police complaint.
Sharma said that all the four accused are on the run and efforts are on to arrest them.
An FIR has been lodged against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 140-4 (kidnapping), 351-2 (criminal intimidation), and 352 (intentional insult), along with sections 5(m) and 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, which pertains to aggravated sexual assault.
The Hapur police are also trying to investigate whether there was any past enmity or tensions between the family of the victim and the accused that may have contributed to the heinous crime.
