President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi extended new year greetings to everyone through posts on their respective social media handles.
In a post on ‘X’, President Murmu wrote, “Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! May the year 2025 bring joy, harmony and prosperity to all! On this occasion, let us renew our commitment to work together for creating a brighter, more inclusive and sustainable future for India and the world.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared a post on ‘X’, extending New Year greetings.
“Happy 2025! May this year bring everyone new opportunities, success and endless joy. May everybody be blessed with wonderful health and prosperity”, PM Modi wrote in a post on ‘X’.
Congress MP and LoP Rahul Gandhi also greeted everyone with a social media post on the first day of year 2025. “?? ??? ?? ?????? ?? ??????? ??????????, ??? ???? ??? ?? ???? ???? ???? ??? ?? ????, ?? ?????? ?? ??????? ???? ???Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!”
India welcomed year 2025 with great enthusiasm and gusto, with millions of people across the country holding mega celebrations including dance, music, cultural event, and more.
In the national capital, people gathered in famous spots such as Connaught Place, Hauz Khas, Lajpat Nagar, to mark new year celebrations.
