Good news for commuters who travel between Kanpur and Lucknow. Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway with eight lanes is all set to open this year. It is expected that the Expressway will be open to the public by 2025.
The travel time between the two cities will take 35 to 45 minutes instead of three hours thanks to this new eight-lane Expressway.
The 63-kilometer Expressway will link Nawabganj in Kanpur with Shaheed Path in Lucknow. Prime areas including Banthra, Bani, Datouli Kantha, Taura, Nyaurana, Amarsas, and Rawal Marg will be traversed by the route.
An estimated Rs 4,700 crore would be spent on the project. It will boost tourism in the state. Concurrently, the expressway will reduce travel time. It will make the commute more comfortable for commuters.
By connecting to the Lucknow Ring Road, the road would provide a seamless intercity travel experience and a superb link between several regional routes.
The route will be connected to the Lucknow Ring Road. The highway will begin on the Shaheed Path in Lucknow and proceed to Nawabganj in Kanpur.
Rawal Marg, Amarsas, Taura, Nyaurana, Datouli Kantha, Banthra, and Bani will all be traversed.
In total, three major bridges will be constructed. In addition, the Expressway will have 28 small bridges, 38 underpasses, and six flyovers.
