Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries led Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) is setting up ‘Campa Ashrams’ at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. These specially created ashrams are resting places for pilgrims to rest and also enjoy refreshments. Additionally, the company has arranged for Campa boats to promote the company’s Campa brand.
A statement issued by Reliance Industries information about the ‘Campa Ashram’. According to the statement, the Campa Ashrams have been designed in such a way that pilgrims can find a safe and peaceful place even within the Mela grounds. Additionally, Reliance is also installing clear and easily readable signage and direction boards in the Kumbh area to assist the pilgrims.
Ketan Modi, CEO of Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said, “Our participation in the Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj is to honor the spirit of this grand spiritual gathering. As a company, we are deeply connected to Indian traditions. By serving the community during this sacred event, we are reshaping the legacy of the Indian consumer.”
Arrangements for Campaa boats can also be seen at the Sangam Ghat. Reliance stated that it’s an honor for the company to participate in and serve at the Mahakumbh Prayagraj 2025, one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world. The first royal bath (Shahi Snan) of the Mahakumbh will take place on January 14.
Reckitt, the world’s leading consumer health and hygiene company, is also participating in the Mahakumbh. Through its flagship campaign “Dettol Banega Swasth India”, the company is working with the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA), AJ Foundation (formerly AJYS), and Plan India to create a memorable and healthy Mahakumbh Mela 2025. This initiative promotes public health and hygiene at one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, advancing Reckitt’s mission.
The company states that Reckitt is contributing to India’s “Developed India @ 2047” agenda by establishing cleanliness as the foundation of good health.
Before Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani also entered Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 with the purpose of serving people. His company, the Adani Group joined hands with Gita Press, Gorakhpur to distribute one crore free copies of ‘Aarti Sangrah’ to devotees and with International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to serve meals to lakhs of devotees and pilgrims.
Notably, the Mahakumbh has begun. The first bath of the Mahakumbh took place on January 13 on Paush Purnima. Devotees from all corners of the country are reaching Prayagraj to participate in the Mahakumbh. The ‘shahi snan’ will occur on Makar Sankranti, January 14, Mauni Amavasya, January 29, and Basant Panchami, February 3.
