Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed a gathering after the ‘Pran Pratistha’ rituals at the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He said said Lord Ram will no longer live in a tent but will now reside in a magnificent temple. He said January 22 is “not a date on a calendar, but the dawn of a new era”.

6. “Even after the Constitution came into existence, legal battle was fought for decades on Lord Ram’s existence. I would like to the thank judiciary that delivered justice and Lord Ram’s temple was built in a legal manner,” the prime minister said.

7. January 22, 2024 is not merely a date but marks the advent of a new era, PM Modi said.

8. “Today, I also apologise to Lord Shri Ram. There must be something lacking in our effort, sacrifice and penance that we could not do this work for so many centuries. Today the work has been completed. I believe that Lord Shri Ram will definitely forgive us today,” PM Modi said.

9. “Ram is the faith of India, Ram is the foundation of India. Ram is the idea of India, Ram is the law of India…Ram is the prestige of India, Ram is the glory of India…” PM Modi said.
