The Sadak Suraksha Abhiyaan (SSA), a national televised movement on road safety enters its third year in 2025, focusing on the theme “Parwaah Karenge, Surakshit Rahenge.”

This year, children and youth take center stage as the key enablers and beneficiaries of road safety. Through music and art, including a special concert in Mumbai named “Suraksha Reloaded” featuring Shankar Mahadevan and The Shillong Choir, SSA 2025 aims to create an engaging platform for the youth to connect and understand the importance of road safety.

Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, will attend the concert, reaffirming the government’s dedication and commitment to making Indian roads safe.

Building on the success of previous years, the Sadak Suraksha Abhiyaan initiative empowers individuals to take the onus of protecting lives, supported by its four pillars: Parwaah (Care), Pahel (Initiative), Prayas (Effort), and Parivartan (Change).

This year, the campaign continues to drive meaningful change by involving youth and communities in the mission for safer roads.

To amplify the impact of this mission, the Suraksha Reloaded Concert, scheduled for the 6th of January in Mumbai, will serve as a dynamic and transformative extension of the initiative.

Through art, music, and storytelling, it will embody the movement’s mission to inspire a collective commitment to safer roads. Special performances by Shankar Mahadevan and the Shillong Chamber Choir will bring together various artists to further the larger theme of being vigilant and ensuring one’s own and others’ safety on our roads. A special performance by the Jubilee Theatre Company, led by Saurabh Nayyar, will depict compelling road safety stories.

Aayush Kalra and Prakriti Kalra, popularly known as Aayu and Pihu, the dynamic young YouTubers, will co-anchor the Suraksha Reloaded concert. With their signature humour and interactive quizzes, they aim to captivate and engage the youth. The event will also feature a special “Shapath” ceremony, inspiring young attendees to pledge their commitment to becoming road safety champions.

This concert will drive the message of a call to action—an urgent reminder that safer roads are what each and every Indian deserves and one that we all must contribute to. India accounts for nearly 11% of global road accident fatalities, and initiatives like Sadak Suraksha Abhiyan aim to reverse this unfortunate statistic.

The movement believes that every life on Indian roads is precious. Stay tuned for an inspiring and impactful experience.
