Bengaluru based techie Atul Subhash’s suicide case has sparked a debate over laws being misused in case of divorces against men. In Subhash vs Nikita Singhania case, registered in Jaunpur’s family court, a new revelation has come into light. According to an allegation by Atul Subhash, his estranged wife Nikita Singhania had an extra marital affair, which the latter dismissed as a lie.
According to the allegation, he alleged that his relationship with Nikita started to get worse in 2021 shortly after which a man named Rohit Nigam frequently started visiting their home. Atul said that he objected to long phone calls and frequent meetings between Nikita and Rohit. However, he also confessed that he did not see them in a compromising position but only doubted their connection.
Clearing the allegations, Nikita told the court that Rohit was the son of her father’s friend, and nothing more than friendship was between them. She also told the court that in July 2021 when her mother visited them in Bengaluru, Rohit used to visit them.
She also alleged that without any reason Atul used to beat her up in front of her mother. In turn, Nikita made several allegations against Atul Subhash. She said that he used to mentally and physically torture her even when she remained loyal to him and therefore, she was forced to leave them. She said that she did not want to leave him, but his behaviour forced her to take such an action.
Atul Subhash named Nikita’s paternal uncle as the fourth accused in the case who received interim bail from the court. Other accused will be presented to the court on December 31.
The new revelations coming almost everyday in the case have made the case more complex and has been delaying justice.
