“We will finish this Bishnoi (gang),” vowed Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde after meeting Salman Khan days after shots were fired outside the Bollywood actor’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra.

CM Shinde met Salman Khan on Tuesday and assured him of safety and protection.

On Sunday morning, two bike-borne men fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan’s Bandra house. The CCTV camera that captured the footage of the incident showed one of the men, riding a pillion, firing towards the actor’s house.

Following the shootout on Sunday, Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, claimed responsibility in an online post, describing it as a “preview” and issuing a warning to the actor.

‘No gang will be allowed’

“No gang or gang war will be allowed. We won’t allow this to happen. We will finish (Lawrence) Bishnoi,” the Maharashtra CM said.

‘Nobody will be spared’

Shinde further said he has assured Salman Khan that the Maharashtra government stands “behind him and his safety is the government’s responsibility.”

“Both the accused have been arrested. They will be interrogated. We will get to the root of the case. The government will ensure that no one dares do such an act in Mumbai,” Shinde added.

Security increased for Salman Khan and family

In an interview with India Today, Salman’s father Salim Khan said Maharashtra CM Shinde has provided extra police protection to the entire Khan family.

“We’ve been given extra police protection. They’ve (Mumbai Police) assured protection for us and our friends. If they’ve arrested two people today, that means they’re on it,” Salim was quoted as saying.

Bullets fired outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments

Of the total five rounds fired outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai on Sunday around 5 am, one hit the wall and another the gallery of Salman Khan’s residence. The duo – Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) – hail from Bihar’s West Champaran district.

They have been arrested by the Mumbai Police after being nabbed from Mata No Madh village in Kutch district of Gujarat. They were brought to Mumbai and produced in front of a magistrate on Tuesday.

As per the Gujarat Police, the two men were part of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s group.

Bishnoi’s group had earlier threatened Salman Khan in connection with the blackbuck poaching case.

Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in Tihar jail for his alleged involvement in several high-profile murder cases including those of Sidhu Moose Wala and Rajput leader and Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.
