A “mukut” (crown) for Ram Lalla’s idol has been donated by a diamond trader from Surat, Gujarat, and it is now housed in the recently built Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The crown was made especially for the deity at the recently built Ram Mandir and is valued at Rs 11 crore.

The owner of the Green Lab Diamond Company in Surat, Mukesh Patel, gave Lord Ram a six-kilogram crown that was set with priceless gemstones, gold, and diamonds.

Mukesh Patel personally travelled to Ayodhya with his family in order to give the painstakingly crafted crown to the officials of the temple trust. During the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Mukesh Patel gave the crown to the chief priest of Ram Mandir, along with the trustees of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla’s idol in Ayodhya earlier in the day, which was marked by lavish celebrations in the temple town and throughout the nation.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad’s National Treasurer, Dinesh Bhai Naviya, disclosed that Mukesh Patel also gave some decorations for the idol of Lord Ram that was placed in the recently constructed temple.

Following an extensive research, Patel made the decision to donate a gold and another jewel-adorned crown that was measured to fit the Lord Ram statue. After the company dispatched two employees to measure the statue in Ayodhya, work on crafting the crown began.

Four kilogrammes of gold, as well as various-sized diamonds, rubies, pearls, and sapphires, make up the crown.

In a ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Modi, the nation’s temples and thousands of viewers watched as the new Ram Lalla idol was dedicated at the Ayodhya temple. Sculptor Arun Yogiraj, who is based in Mysuru, has carved the image of Ram Lalla.
