Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country is growing at the rate of 8 per cent and will become 3rd largest global economy.

Speaking at a post-budget conference in New Delhi organised by the CII,, PM Modi said, “We have taken India to new highs even after battling the Covid pandemic. Today, India is growing at the speed of 8%…”

PM Modi said “… Before 2014, huge announcements were made in the budget to show that the economy is good. But the reality was that those announcements were not implemented on the ground… Previous governments did not pay attention to completing any schemes… We have changed this situation in the last 10 years…”

“The community I belong to, its identity has been that the promises made during the elections are forgotten after elections, but I am an exception. India is progressing regularly. When you gave us the responsibility for the country in 2014, the biggest question was to bring India on the path of development. India was among the fragile economies, there used to be big corruption. We have presented a white paper mentioning nuances of the state of the economy. I urge you to study it, and debate it. We have rescued the economy from there to take it to such height,” says PM Modi
