Voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, which include 12 states and a union territory, is underway.

Elections are being held in 93 constituencies. Gujarat’s Surat seat has already been won by the BJP without opposition.

In the third phase, there will be a struggle for two seats in Goa, 25 in Gujarat, seven in Chhattisgarh, and 14 in Karnataka.

This will conclude the electoral process in these states.

Previously, on April 26, the second phase of the Karnataka election saw contests for 14 seats. Tuesday is also the day for voting on two Lok Sabha seats in Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

In addition to these, voting will take place for the following seats: four in Assam, five in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, eight in Madhya Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, and four in West Bengal.

May 25, phase 6, has been chosen as the new election date for the Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha constituency of Anantnag-Rajouri.

Around 2.09 crore individuals will have the opportunity to vote for 258 candidates in the third phase. A total of 23,036 polling centers have been set up for this. There are 1,02,26,946 women, 1,07,64,741 men, and 929 members of the third gender among the voters.

After the third phase, voting will be finished in 283 of Lok Sabha’s 543 seats. The counting of votes is slated for June 4, and the next four stages are set for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
