In a chaotic and disturbing incident, a woman passenger on an Akasa Air flight from Lucknow to Mumbai went on a rampage, resulting in her being forcibly removed from the aircraft.
The woman, whose erratic behaviour led to complaints from fellow passengers and subsequent commotion on board, went on to bite a security staffer in a desperate bid to re-enter the plane.
As per reports, Lucknow Joint Police Commissioner Akash Kulhari described the woman’s mental state as questionable, noting her aggressive confrontations with other passengers.
Despite being de-boarded, she attempted to storm back into the aircraft. The situation further escalated when she physically attacked the security guard, sinking her teeth into his hand.
The unruly passenger was subdued and handed over to police by the airline’s female staff.
She now faces charges under Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code for intentionally insulting and provoking actions that threaten public peace and tranquility.
The true extent of her mental instability awaits confirmation through a medical examination.
