Renowned Pune real estate developer, Vishal Agarwal, told his driver to hand over the Porsche Taycan to his 17-year-old son if the boy wanted to drive it, police told a special court.
According to Times of India report, making a statement before special judge SP Ponkshe, crime branch inspector Ganesh Mane said the driver, during the probe, confessed that Vishal Agarwal had given the car only to him (driver) and not to his son for driving.
Mane further said, in the same recorded statement, the driver said the underaged boy was insisting on driving the Porsche Taycan after which the driver had to call Vishal Agarwal to inform him about his son’s demand.
The father of the boy then told his driver to let the teen drive the car and asked him to take the adjacent seat, the police told the court.
The Pune Porsche crash accused, the 17-year-old boy, who was drunk while he drove the car on Sunday and rammed over a motorcycle, killing two techies, who were from Madhya Pradesh and were working in Pune in an IT company.
The boy was detained by Pune Police and was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) which had released him on bail on the conditions that the included writing a 300-word essay on “effect of road accidents and their solution”, work with Yerawada traffic police for 15 days, studying traffic rules and regulations.
After outcry and request for treating the minor as an adult as the crime is heinous, the boy was produced before JJB again on Wednesday (May 23). His bail was cancelled and he was sent remanded to a Rehabilitation/Observation home for 14 days till June 5.

What will Pune Porsche crash accused do in remand home?
In the remand home, the breakfast time for the boy will be between 8 am and 10 am during which he will be served poha/upma, eggs, milk. After which at 11 am there will be prayer time and post that he will have to take lessons in languages.
From 1 to 4 pm every day, during his remand, the minor Pune Porsche crash accused will be allowed to rest at the dormitory and post 4 pm he will be served snacks.
He will be allowed to watch television for one hour between 4 to 5 pm and after that, 7 pm will be his playtime when he can play volleyball or football.
At 7 pm he will be served dinner which will include vegetables, chapati and rice and by 8 pm he will have to head back to the dormitory.
Where is the minor accused’s father?
The father of the accused was arrested on Tuesday from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad. He fled from Pune as he knew he would be under the police scanner after his son was released on bail on Sunday evening.

He was produced before a court on Wednesday and sent to two-day police custody.
Agarwal is facing charges of giving his minor son the electric luxury sports sedan to drive despite being fully aware that the boy did not have a driving licence.

He has also been charged for letting his juvenile son consume alcohol.
In its remand copy, the Pune Police said he was not cooperating with cops in the investigation and therefore, they have sought his remand.
Police in remand copy also said that Agarwal was given the notice to join the investigation before his arrest, but he misled the cops by saying that he was in Shirdi, but actually he was in Aurangabad.
