Simran Singh, a hugely popular freelance radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir, was found dead in her Gurugram apartment. Known by her fans as RJ Simran, the 25-year-old had nearly seven lakh followers on Instagram. The police suspect the cause of death to be suicide, though investigations are still ongoing.
Singh was discovered in her apartment in Gurugram’s Sector 47, where a friend who had been staying with her alerted the authorities. The police have confirmed that her body has been handed over to her family for funeral arrangements.
Simran, a beloved figure from Jammu, was affectionately known by her fans as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan” (Heartbeat of Jammu). Her social media presence had gained her a massive following, particularly on Instagram, where she regularly shared moments from her life.
Her final post, shared on December 13, has since gone viral. The Instagram reel features Simran enjoying a day at the beach, wearing a beautiful pink gown, dancing, and posing as the sun sets in the background. The caption read, “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach.”
