After Atul Subhash and Puneet Khurana, another tragic incident unfolded in Gujarat’s Rajkot as a husband died by suicide, alleging ‘mental torture’ against his wife, Times of India has reported.

The deceased, identified as Suresh Sathadiya (39), was found hanging in his home in Botad, Gujarat on December 30. Following the incident, his wife, Jaya Sathadiya, was arrested for allegedly abetting her husband to suicide and has been booked under section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).

The arrest is followed by a complaint was lodged against Jaya by Suresh’s father, Babu Sathadiya, after he discovered a video on Suresh’s mobile phone. In the purported video, the deceased victim seemed visibly distraught and crying.

Alleging mental torture against wife, Suresh Sathadiya said, “Teach her a lesson that she will remember for her entire life. She was neither mine nor her children’s; she cheated me and forced me to die.”

As per the report by the outlet, the couple were married for 17 years and had four children – two daughters aged 15 and 10, and two sons aged six and four.

Jaya often argued with Suresh, says the FIR

Accused Jaya Sathadiya often argued with the victim, Suresh Sathadiya and left home to stay at her parents’ house. On the day of the incident, Suresh went to his in-laws’ house to console her.
