Simran Singh, a popular RJ and Instagram influencer, dies by suicide in Gurugram. She was a hugely popular freelance radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir. Simran was living on rent in a society in Sector 47 in Gurugram. She allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself. Simran was just 25 years old. Her body was found hanging in her room on Wednesday night, police said, adding no suicide note was found from the spot.
Known by her fans as ‘Jammu Ki Dhadkan’ (Heartbeat of Jammu), she had 683K followers on Instagram. The young RJ often shared pictures of her personal and professional life on the social media platform. She last posted a reel on December 13. In her last reel on Instagram, she wrote, “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach.”
“The family said that Simran had been facing problems for some time due to which she took this step and did not hold anybody responsible for this. Based on a written complaint from the family members, action was taken and the post-mortem was done on Thursday morning. The body has been handed over to the family members. No case was registered,” ANI quoted investigating officer (IO), ASI Pradeep Kumar, Sadar Police Station, Gurugram as saying.
