It’s been a fortnight since Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been in Tihar jail. Several Aam Aadmi party leaders have been alleging that the leader has been forced to live in the grim realities of prison and is being “treated like a terrorist.”

AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Tuesday delivered Kejriwal’s message from jail where the chief minister said, “I am Arvind Kejriwal and I am not a terrorist.”

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s first meeting with his colleague since his incarceration in Tihar jail was reportedly not a pleasant one.

Time and again, AAP leaders have highlighted Kejriwal’s plight in jail.

Singh, during a press conference, said, “The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, who has Z+ category security, is made to meet the three-time elected Chief Minister of Delhi with a glass wall in between.”

Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, similarly, cannot meet her husband without a glass wall separating them.

Singh, who was recently released on bail, claimed that Kejriwal has been put under 24-hour CCTV surveillance and that by doing this, the ruling party BJP is “harassing” him throughout the day.

Mann met Kejriwal in Tihar jail for 30 minutes in a room divided by a glass wall. “I became emotional seeing him. He is being treated like a hardcore criminal. What is his fault… that he built mohalla clinics?” the Punjab chief minister asked following his meeting.

Earlier, AAP claimed that Kejriwal lost 4.5kg weight since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, a statement that was debunked by jail authorities later.
