The success story of Sagar Wali Qawwali is a true testament of what talent, passion and perseverance can do together. While the talneted singer Sagar Bhatia has crated a very special place in hearts of people & his audience due to his impressive singing and music skills, there is another force behind this success, and it’s “Vandana Sharma”. A trained singer in classical music herself for six years under the Allahabad University at ghe age of 10 years, Vandana is also a trained dancer in various dance forms including Kathak, Jazz, Hip Hop and Salsa. She also founded her own dance studio, Delhi Dancing in 2009 and has trained over 2000 students.
However, her love and passion for music is what reconnected her with her dear friend Sagar Bhatia in 2010. Sagar founded his own band The Soul in 2010 and Vandana came along and it became the dream team that began their foray into events and artist management, embarking on a dynamic journey which is filled with milestones.
Amongst Sagar’s achievements is reaching the top six in the reality show India’s Raw Star, and as a duo they have released various songs and music albums, and Vandana has done a record 3000+ live shows with Sagar. A Sufi fusion concept, Sagar Waali Qawwali is now a worldwide phenomenon that originated from the minds of this duo. Their success extends globally with numerous international tours and major concerts under their repertoire.
Taking the reins backstage, Vandana’s mission has always been to support the growth of artists being Sagar at the center stage and giving other talents the wings to achieve their dreams. She has been in the business now for 15 years and yet her dedication remains unwavering. She aims to create a supportive platform for fellow artists and provide them with the opportunities and assistance, which she didn’t get when she started. She is also an advocate for animal welfare and girls’ education rights and her story is one of resilience, passion, and an unyielding commitment to nurturing talent and giving back to the community.
