Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren thanked voters after the INDIA bloc’s victory in the state, saying that JMM’s big win has made the “elections successful”.
“I want to thank the people of all communities and all the farmers, women and youth of the state for casting their votes with the majority and making this election successful,” Soren said.
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader has won his seat from the Barhait assembly constituency. The INDI alliance, consisting of JMM, Congress and RJD, has won Jharkhand by bagging 56 of 81 seats. JMM alone has won 34 of these seats.
Soren added, “We are waiting for the complete result which will be soon announced…After that, we will take a further decision…The INDIA alliance performance has been very good.”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Soren for his party’s performance in the state to which the chief minister replied, “I want to thank PM Modi also for his best wishes to us.”
