Police also registered a case against Rajesh Shah and the family driver, Rajendra Singh Bidawat, for helping Mihir Shah flee.
The car involved in the accident belonged to Mihir’s father Rajesh Shah who serves as a Shiv Sena representative from Palghar within the faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
CM Shinde had assured that everyone involved in the Mumbai hit-and-run case would face consequences, emphasising that all individuals would be treated equally under the law, irrespective of their status or political allegiance.
Mihir Shah on Saturday evening partied with his friends at the Vice Global Tapas Bar in Juhu, hours after which the accident took place.

The cops said, that to further “mislead” the investigation, the driver then “reversed” the car and mowed down the woman for the second time before escaping from the site.
