Aditya Srivastava secured the top position in the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) announcement of the results for the Civil Services Exam 2023 on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy earned the second and third places, respectively.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all those who have successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2023.

He also added that their hard work, perseverance and dedication has paid off, marking the start of a promising career in public service and that their efforts will shape the future of India.

According to the UPSC, 1,016 applicants passed the test in total and were advised to apply for various central government jobs.

The UPSC selects officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other services, through the three phases of the Civil Services Exam: preliminary, main, and interview.
